Hi Guys! Happy to be part of this Community. Any feedback from you that have played the instrument already? I have played 4000s now for 4 years and thanks to Patchman I have enjoyed every minute of it. Are the patches – sounds -as good on the 5000s as the ad says? What say you?
Did this first mistakingly, then intentionally because I could not believe that the cause of the first failure was something so simple. I connected my ISP technologies Theta Preamp foot pedal to my EWI 4000s and then I connected headphones using a patch cord and headphone to mono 1/4″ adapter to the Theta output jack…
Not all that impressed with the sounds. The big question is can you make your own from these or not?
About 6 months ago, Akai announced a revision of it’s EWI instrument, the EWI 5000. No real word on when it was shipping, but places like Sweetwater have it listed as coming in Spring 2014. Well, Spring ends June 20th, a week from today. Is this perhaps a vaporware product?
